6:45am.....alarm goes off ( I push snooze)
6:50 am.....alarm goes off again, and I hoist my tired body out of bed, waddle to the kids bedrooms and wake them up.....a couple times, since none of us are really morning people. It always takes a few minutes to wake up Mana because once he's asleep he wants to sleep until he thinks he should wake up!! At this time Pila is usually still asleep, off to school, or downstairs studying.
7:15 am..... Pile into the car to drive the kids to school, this occurs after asking the kids about 3 times what they want for breakfast, telling Ofeina about 5 times to brush her hair, and wrapping Mana in his blanket and carrying him to the car, because even in the dead of winter he still insists on sleeping in his undies.
7:18 am.....return home, yes it takes about 1 minute to drive the kids to school, 1 minute to drop them off and watch them walk up to the school, and 1 minute to drive home. I know I could and probably should walk them to school, but let's face it.....at 7:15 in the morning we're not a very pretty sight!! When we get home, we eat breakfast, which on most days for Mana and I is mostly a liquid diet. He always likes to have a sippy cup of warm milk when he wakes up and then another sippy of hot chocolate while I'm drinking my hot chocolate. (everyday I have hot chocolate, rain or shine, and the best kind is the churches food storage kind) Most days Misi can be found eating a big bowl of Rice Krispies.
7:30-9:00 am.....getting ready for the day, most days as soon as Mana is ready he kicks his underwear off (he likes to take one leg out then hold it on the other foot and see how far he can launch it.....pretty funny sight) and says "kau kau hot" kau kau is bath in Tongan and Mana likes the water as hot and full as I'll let him have it. I usually let him play for 20-30 minutes, he would love to stay in for triple that time if I would let him. After he's out I settle him in front of the iPad or tell Misi to babysit him so that I can shower uninterrupted, 'uninterrupted ' is a word I use loosely because I almost always get interrupted. Misi's next and just like Mana he loves long baths, so around 9:00 I usually put Misi's towel and clothes in the bathroom and tell him to wash his hair and body and get out when he's ready.
9:00am..... I get Mana situated in his bed and lay down by him, his room is right next door to the bathroom so I can listen in on Misi's while he's taking a bath. After about 20 minutes Mana's usually fallen asleep and Misi is standing in the doorway with a towel wrapped around him, blue lips, and shivering, because he stayed in the tub too long and the water went cold. After I help him get dressed He lays down in Pila and I's bed and I layer on the blankets trying to get him warm, I lay down by him and tell him to close his eyes lay still and go to sleep, after about 2 minutes he asks if nap time is over, and I once again remind him to close his eyes and lay still and if he does this for 5 more minutes he can get off the bed and play bay blades. Luckily he always falls asleep, and for the next few hours we have a very quiet, peaceful house with all 3 of us sleeping. (yes, a 2-3 hour nap is probably wasting a lot of time for me, but until the baby comes I'm holding on to any extra sleep I can get!!)
Tomorrow I will have to continue with our schedule because the battery is about to die, and Mana won't stop climbing on me because he wants to play the iPad. ( and sorry, I didn't mean to add quite so many unimportant details:))

I love reading about how other people go about their day to day routines. A 3 hour nap sounds heavenly!!
I would give anything for a 3 hour nap! Doesn't sound like a waste of time to me! It's funny how you don't think it's too much until you write it down!
