12:00 pm.....if I'm lucky we're just barely waking up around this time, but more likely than not we've been up long enough to watch Mana's favorite show on PBS, which is Super Why. Then it's lunch time, almost everyday we have the same lunch; Mana an apple, Misi, mandarin oranges and a sandwich and me, a peanut butter and honey sandwich, with a glass of milk and yogurt. What can I say, we're creatures of habit in this house!!
1:45 pm.....I get Mana dressed, remember how he likes to only wear underwear around the house? He will let me get him dressed when he knows we need to leave the house and almost as soon as we get home he undresses himself and is on his way. We usually pick the kids up from school around this time, I'm hoping the weather will allow us to start walking again so I can get ready to have this baby!!
2:00pm.....we finally make it through the after school traffic, get home, and the kids raid the kitchen, acting like they haven't seen or eaten food in days!! Ofeina usually gets to the remote first and therefore we get to watch an hour of either Cake Boss or Toddlers and Tiaras.
3:00pm.....Job and homework time, which usually takes around 2 hours. I'm sure I've mentioned this before, that every day the kids have to do 3 jobs plus practice piano and do their homework. While they're doing this I usually bake something, we have a lot of cookie monsters in this house so it's usually some kind of cookie, or cookie bar.
5:00pm......make dinner, 2-3 times a week I try to do a crock pot dinner just because it's so much easier to throw something in the crockpot when we wake up from naps and then put some rice in the rice cooker a half hour before we eat. I usually try to have the kids make at least one of the sides for dinner, yesterday Misi made croissants(refrigerator), and the kids like to set the table because then they can sit by me, it's nice to be popular in the eyes of your kids:) we eat around 6 and since my boys usually eat super slow it takes them about an hour to finish their dinner.
7:30pm.....the older two have to take a bath around this time and they ALWAYS fight over who has to go first. Once they get out we try to have family prayer, and the 3 older kids are in bed by 8:00. Does this mean they are asleep by 8:00? I wish!! I usually have to yell up the stairs a few times to remind the boys to be quiet, along with that is usually a threat that if they don't be quiet I will come up and take away whatever toy they're playing with at the time. I love reality tv so after I put the kids to bed, I settle in front of the tv to watch The Voice, Biggest Loser, Survivor, or American Idol.
9:30pm.....Mana and I head upstairs to put him to bed, if he has a hard time falling asleep Pila will come up and take over, and Mana will be asleep in minutes. I call Pila the "baby whisperer" because Mana will do anything for him. After Mana falls asleep Pila and I will hang out for a little while, I usually study with him, because he remembers things best when he can "teach" somebody about something. Right now the main class that he's taking is Gastrointestinal so I'm learning all about appendicitis, kidney stones, diverticulitis, gall bladder problems, things like that. Finally around midnight it's bedtime, throw in a hot bath before that and I'm good to go, I always get really bad restless leg problems when I'm pregnant and a really hot bath is pretty much the only thing I've come up with that will cure this. (that or having the baby, unfortunately after Mana was born it didn't go away, but I'm having high hopes with this baby. isn't it funny how the minute they are born the heart burn, restless leg, back and stomach pain, and swelling immediately goes away?)
Anyways, that's our day in a nutshell, almost everyday is the same, and that is just fine with us, day by day flys by and before we know it, it's Friday again!!
