Snicker Doodles

Snicker Doodles are one of my favorite cookies, and I used to make them all the time, but I'm the kind of person that only likes cookies the first day or two after they're made. Which is fine in our house, because cookies don't usually last that long anyways!! Anyways.....back to the snicker doodles....the recipe I normally use makes them big a fluffy but not so good after the first day, so thanks to Pinterest I found another recipe, tried it out, and 3 days later I was still savoring these cookies, (I must say, thank you to the missionaries, who took the majority of the cookies home. If they had not, I probably could have and would have eaten the whole batch!!) This recipe came from Make It Do (www.make-it-do.com)

Snicker Doodles
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 cups flour (I added another 1/4 cup to make dough less sticky)
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 350, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. In separate bowl combine dry ingredients. Slowly mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients. Scoop dough into 1 inch balls and roll in cinnamon & sugar. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

P.S. as I'm typing this the kids are outside playing. Ami fell off his skateboard, and proclaimed that he broke his bum, or at least got a big goose egg on it. Too which Misi replied, "that's ok, it'll just make your butt cheek bigger!!"
P.P.S. I just pulled a pan of chocolate chip less chocolate chip cookies out of the oven and they're almost all gone.....see, I told you I have a bunch of cookie monsters for kids!!
P.P.P.S. the neighbors are having a yard sale and I just bought a big, solid wood, 6 drawer dresser. Now I have another project on my hands so little lady V will have somewhere to put her clothes!!

OK, now I want cookies....thanks.

You amaze me with your furniture projects. For some reason I just cannot get into it so if I have something to paint, I make Mark do it!
