I've been slacking on the blog this past month, and often think...why do I even bother? Then I see my kids spend hours looking on the computer at past blogs, then I remember the reason:)
I have so many picture of this cutie that I can't really start a blog post with out a few.
He is growing and changing so fast, we want to remember it all.
For Father's Day this year we got Pila a fire pit, the kids were in charge of putting it together.
The did a great job, and we chopped the branches off of our dried out Christmas tree to build the first fire. It smelled SOOO good!!!
I'm sure this will provide us with some great nights (once the temperature drops below 100 degrees at night:)
We are so grateful for Pila and everything he does for our family, he is definitely all of our favorite!!
Crazy story that happened prior to buying the fire pit....a few days before, the kids were playing outside and noticed a huge (like thousands) swarm of bees circling the neighbor's back yard. We had them come in the house, the neighbor came over the next day and said she had heard a buzzing in her house, looked outside and the bees had attached themselves to the back of her house, so she was going to call a bee keeper to come remove them. The day after that we had a primary water activity, we rented a blow up water slide and the kids played in it for like 3 hours, so we got home they were too exhausted to play outside (normally I would shoo them out there to play in the water on the trampoline) After we came home from the activity Izzy was super fussy so I took him outside to rock him. I noticed a few bees swarming around the trampoline and as I looked a little closer I noticed they had started attaching themselves underneath the trampoline. Hundreds of bees in a hive that worked themselves from the bottom of the tramp, up the side and to the top. One bounce would have dislodged the swarm and, I'm sure, been really bad. Makes me so glad for the water party that day!! We got some spray (which is the when we got the fire pit) and Pila sprayed and killed them all. So Crazy!!
