Yesterday was a bittersweet day. We've had "big red" since the day Ami was born....10 1/2 years!! That car has been so good to us, only been in the shop once for a major problem. There were a lot of minor problems though. The back heat didn't work, AC was fickle (not good in AZ heat) CD player didn't work, not enough trunk space, check engine light has been on for years, the passenger and middle front seat belts didn't work very well, and it needed new tires , so we know it was about time to start looking for a new one. 
The big kids wanted to take a picture with the car one last time before we took it to the dealership to trade it in for our new one. I'm still a little sad when I see this picture:( that car was with us at almost every school we went to, it had 209,000 miles of V Family adventure logged on to it.
We traded it in for this 2014 Yukon XL. It is definitely an upgrade from Big Red, and I'm sure we'll make many more memories in our new Silver Bullet:)
