New Madsen Bike

As we were driving home from Utah, after our Thanksgiving vacation, I was looking through my Instagram feed. I saw the madsen cycle picture pop up announcing their Black Friday sale. Now let's be honest, I've wanted one of these bikes for the last few years and at that point it hit me that with Izzy being our last baby I'd better think about getting one soon so that I could actually enjoy riding around with my babies in it. We are very very fortunate that LittleVMen has done so well this year and I thought to myself "I have never spent a dime from LittleVMen on something that I selfishly wanted, so I'm going to go for it!!" Our accountant told us we need to find some more "business expenses" so we will find a way to advertise LittleVMen with this bike...and wha-la!! (Plus it was on SALE!!;) and I did feel a little buyers remorse after spending that much on a bike:/

We waited and waited...a super warm, perfect weather week passed and still no bike.

Then on a cold windy day a huge semi pulled up in front of our house (they ship it via shipping company)

We were all so excited!! Luckily Pila didn't have any surgeries scheduled that day so he got right to work putting it together for me.

I made him take the first ride:) surprisingly it is really easy to ride...even with kids in the back. There are 2 bench seats in the bucket and a total of 4 seat belts, so it's easy to strap Izzy in and not worry about him flopping all over....I was worried about that:) We got a lot of use out of the bike throughout that week, but then we went to Richfield for Christmas and this week has been cold and almost continually rainy so I am anxious for the weather to improve so we can start cruising around again:) (and yes, we do get a lot of stares as we ride around hauling 2-4 kids in the bucket)
