One night we had to host Activity Days at our house (for the 8-11 year old girls in our ward) Ofeina was totally in her element and took charge of the whole thing. Pila took everybody but Izzy with him to hang out around town. They stopped at the splash pad and played for a little bit.
Definitely love the February weather in AZ!! (Did I mention that 2 pairs of shoes and one winter jacket got left behind at the splash pad, never to be seen again:( ) This was also a night to remember because Ami got his first driving lesson, and got to drive all by himself. Pila's a lot funner and more adventurous when it comes to those kinds of things:)
That night was the day before Valentine's Day, I had been to the store earlier in the day but it completely slipped my mind to get Valentine's Day cards. Ofeina didn't want to do Valentine's this year and the boys were on the fence. Not wanting to do anything "with words" that might be taken the wrong way. So after activity days, family prayer, and getting the kids to bed I ran to Target. It was completely wiped out!! I wasn't about to go all over town at 10:00 at night, so I grabbed a few things, a bunch of candy and we made our own Valentine's Day goodies:)
A few days later we were cleaning out our garage, going through boxes that we haven't yet unpacked and I found a big bag of 10-20 boxes of Valentjnes Day cards!! I guess there's always next year:)
