On Saturday we went on a "kid friendly hike." We rode a ski lift to the very top of the mountain.....then hiked 3 miles down. There were clues set up along the way and also a treasure hunt. We discovered our kids do not love hiking!!
My ski lift companions, I made them hold on tight to me the whole way up. It was cold and windy, I didn't bring our jackets on the hike and I was worried the kids were going to get really cold.
Elevation of 11,000 feet. (I believe that is my finger covering up the sign). This is all
of the Grandkids. (Plus Pila, Jake, and Grandma) it was so so cold and windy this high up on the mountain!!
The scenery was amazing!!
Izzy got a free ride on Pila's back.
A lake we stopped at. Overall it took about 3-4 hours, we had a few major falls but nobody got hurt beyond scraps and bruises, and we made it down the mountain just in time to eat at a BBQ pork competition:)
