Kindergarten

Today was Meilani's first day of Kindergarten!! She met her teacher last night and this morning Pila took her to school on his way to work. Normally she would ride the bus with the big kids but we wanted to make sure she knew what to do and where to go this morning.

She had her Kindergarten testing last Thursday (the same day the big kids started school) it was only about a half hour and "very boring" but the teacher said she did really good, knew everything and the teacher had her read a book for her, which she did. I had to convince Meilani after her testing that she was super lucky because she was getting a "vacation" so soon after school started, she wasn't very happy about that!! So she's been waiting a loooong time for this day!!

Her teacher is Mrs Stott and she is in AM Kindergarten. It's a little hectic in the mornings, and I'm sure it'll get even crazier once the baby gets here, but she really wanted to ride the bus with the big kids, and by her being in the AM class she gets to ride the bus home also. This afternoon when she got off the bus she came running down the stairs and starting running home when I called her back to ask where her jacket was. She pointed at the bus and said it's on the bus where she sat, I made her go get it......she'll have to learn that the bus is not the same as our car, she loves to leave her stuff in the car just in case she needs it at a later car ride!!
