We started going to the lake last year with Pila's brother and family, had so much fun that we decided to make it in to a family reunion and try to have it the same weekend every year. We were originally going to go to Lake Powell, but time/work/and $$ had us staying a little bit closer to home. We went to Yuba instead and had a great time!! We were lucky enough to have Pila's mom visiting from New Zealand this year, and hopefully next year we can expand it by a few more families:) We got there late and the wind was blowing like crazy, Pila did a great job of setting up our tent and making it as air tight as possible (the wind was blowing the sand around like crazy).
We woke up to clear blue skies, with no wind. The kids woke up super early and wanted to go swimming even though it was pretty cold!! Pila started cooking breakfast.
Tevita brought a boat, and we had a canoe, tube, kayaks, and a paddle board. The kids spent alot of time on boat rides and playing on all of the toys....not one complaint of being bored the whole time!!
part of our little camp. I stayed back at camp the whole time since the boat ride was soooo bumpy I didn't want to risk it with the baby coming soon!!lol
These two loved every minute of it.
Izzy and his goggles!! lol
building sand castles, the water was really low this year so next year we'll probably head back to Lake Powell.
Pila lounging in his tube!!
Meilani and Izzy loved the paddle board with dad. He let them row and they thought they were soooo big!!
