Baby Izzy!!

I've been procrastinating this post for a few days because I know it's going to be a long one:) I'm sitting in the doctors office while Izzy gets his circ done...so there may be a "to be continued" to this story.
Since this is our last little V I thought I would document the pregnancy/birth story. The pregnancy went really fast and was pretty easy. I didn't get any kind of sickness (ie...flu, cold, etc) until the last week and then it was just a cold. I gained right around my normal 26 pounds. The only thing different with this pregnancy was I had insomnia in about the last month. Which sometimes worked to my advantage because I would stay up until 5 or so sewing for Zulily events, and then sleep for a few hours and be good to go. I got restless leg really bad (which is normal and as soon as I have the baby it goes away) so hot hot baths, icy hot, and tums were part of my nightly ritual. I literally slept with icy hot (to rub on my calves) and tums by my side every night!!
On February 9th I went in to see my doctor and when he checked me I was at a 3 and 80% effaced...I usually don't go anywhere by myself, beyond that, and have to have an induction to go in to real labor. Ami is my only baby that I went in to labor with and even after that I had to have a little pitocin to help me out.
Anyways...the next day I was having all of the tall tell signs of starting labor, so I called my mom and told her she'd better change her flight, because this little guy probably wasn't going to wait until his induction date (of February 21st) meanwhile we had one of our solo events with Zulily start on the 9th also. I was  on the fence of whether to have a really good event or a slow event, because I didn't know what would happen with the baby. The sale numbers kept raising and after 3 days we surpassed our sales high of over 400!! (Sold 1185 items) so next my focus became "get these purchase orders done" I knew Zulily would understand if we were weren't able to complete them because of a baby.
My mom got to town on that Thursday and we were able to get everything sent for the first PO.
On Valentine's Day I was still having good hard contractions but nothing consecutive. So, Pila and I went out to dinner
At one of our favorite spots and then headed home to my mom and the kids. I kept having good contractions about every 6-7 minutes apart and around 10:30 we decided to go walking...walked around the block about 10 times and they sped up to around 3-5 minutes, but as soon as We went home and I sat down they stopped. (I had gone in on Friday night and of course my contractions stopped when we got to the hospital and I was sent home...I definitely didn't want to repeat that, so I went to bed thinking nothing would happen)
We had a trip to California planned for the next weekend (for a missionary homecoming) and we really wanted to go so I was hoping to either have him the week of the 9th-15th or have him wait until my induction date. Either would have been fine, but for me the week after I have the baby is the worst part of the whole pregnancy....because of the whole recovery process.

Oops...there's my "To be continued" I've got to snuggle this little man after he's looking up at me like "why did you let them do that to me, mom?"

I can't believe you were laboring for so long! That is amazing that you sold over 1,000 items. How on EARTH do you keep up with it all?!

Can't wait to hear the rest of the story!
