First stop....China Town in downtown LA. We wanted to mix a little culture/education/new experiences in to the day. The kids each got $20.00 to buy whatever they wanted, everything is super cheap over there so they all came back with a lot of good/cheap stuff. (Biggest disappointment for Ami and Misi was the Pokemon card packs for $2.00 that turned out to be fake....I warned them!!)

The kids loved it, loved hanging out with their cousins in California, and we even brought back a bunch of chineese laterns to hang on our back patio to remember our fun times:)

Next stop was a picnic at the LA Temple, we ate, then walked around the temple and took pictures (of course using our selfie stick:)) we had hoped to tour the visitors center but the kids were a little bit too crazy and it was peak traffic time so we needed to get back. It took us over 3 hours to drive the 60 miles or so home to Rancho Cucamonga....total torture!!
We had planned on going to the drive in that night but due to traffic we missed it and just hung out at the house instead.

The next day we spent the entire day at Lake Gregory, up in the mountains between Rancho and Hesperia. Not sure of the exact location, it was supposed to be cold that weekend and I was quite stressed because we had planned almost everything outdoors, but the weather was about 10 degrees warmer than predicted and absolutely perfect!! We spent hours swimming, playing on the bouncy equipment, going down the water slides, BBQ-ing, the kids rode the paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards. We all got mildly sunburned (even after applying sunscreen twice), but we stayed until the Lake closed and they kicked us out!!

Most of the crew:)
Then we came back to the hotel and swam some more and took a late night IHOP run because we were all starving.
The next day was Sunday, so we went to church, went to the cemetary to visit a few of our relatives' graves, had a big family lunch, family meeting, then everybody headed home back to Utah, us to AZ, and other locations in California. We loved it. Will do it again next year, and I'll probably add another picture post to our blog once I get ahold of Pila's phone:)

I love LA...we went to that Chinatown a couple years ago and the kids had so much fun. Looks like you've had a busy summer!
