July 17th Pila got to go to Hawaii to see his brothers play rugby. We found out Tonga's national rugby league team was coming to Hawaii a few months ago to play Samoa in the Aloha Bowl. Pila's older brother Kafa is the team manager and his younger brother Pita is the team captain. Pila hasn't seen them in years, let alone seen Pita play rugby. At first I was determined to go with him, but Zulily changed our girls solo event date (to be over that weekend) and I wanted to give Pila the chance to hang out and visit his brothers without me tagging along. (Although I still would have loved to go!!;)) anyways after some crazy last minute planning he was able to go, I'm sure this was a once in a life time trip for him. Pila took tons of pictures, so I'll post some of them!!

The stadium they played in.

One of the team meetings, the team stayed in the university of Hawaii's dorms.

Later that night Pila's older brother, Tevita, his wife and son flew in from Utah.

This was the first time Jodi and Braxton had met Kafa. This is the first time these 4 brothers have been together in one place since 1997. They have one more brother and a sister that weren't able to come.

The team's uniforms.

Unfortunately Tonga lost, but they played an awesome, physical, good game. This is the team huddle, with Samoa, after the game

Hanging out in the dorm before they have to leave.

At the airport, I'm sure it was so sad to leave each other. Not knowing when they would reunite. Makes my resolve to get them together, all in one place, more often a lot stronger!!
