I can't believe it's only been two weeks (this past Monday) that Meilani was born!! My mom left on Sunday and these past 3 days have been just a bit CRAZY!! I was telling Pila yesterday that this has been the hardest transition with a new baby in our family. Mana is still so attached to me that he gets jealous when I spend so much time with her. I suppose all of the kids have shown a little bit of jealousy, asking why Meilani gets all of my attention all of the time, so I try to spread the love around and have the other kids hold her when and as much as they want, and of course when Pila gets home from school she gets a lot of attention from him!!
I took her to the doctor yesterday for her 2 week check up and she is now at 8 lbs 9 ozs, and 20 1/2 inches long. So she has gained 1 lb and 3/4 an inch, it's comforting to me to know she is growing and thriving amidst our chaos:)
We think she is still so sweet and perfect, her eyes are lightening a little bit and we wonder if she will have greyish eyes instead of the dark dark brown that the rest of the kids have.
Meilani is still a pretty good sleeper, but we have to make sure she stays awake for a couple of hours in the evening, one night I was helping Pila study and let her sleep through the evening and around midnight she decided to wake up and didn't go back to sleep until around 4 am, so that definitely taught me a lesson!! I'm trying to get her used to a binkie, and she loves to be wrapped up tight in the day time but loosely in the night. We love this little girl:)

She's a beauty!! I honestly don't know how you survive day to day! I hope things get better as she gets a little older. Luke is still extremely attached to me, too. I can barely even leave him with Mark! Makes it hard sometimes.
