This is more of a mommy journal post for Mana. Mana only started talking about 6-7 months ago, before that we wondered if he would ever talk normal....he mostly grunted and screamed for the things that he wanted. Then he started watching educational videos on you tube and everyday he makes us laugh at the things he says. We like to play the "alphabet game" at our house and each kid has to come up with the hardest word they can think of for their given letter. Yesterday one of Mana's letter's was x, the word he came up with was xylophone. So I thought I'd ask him right now and write down what words he comes up with.
A....alligator p
B....brown
C....candy
D....dog
E....elephant
F....fish
G....gorilla
H....hat
I.....igloo
J.....jump
K....kangaroo
L....lion
M....monkey
N....nose
O....opposite
P....pig
Q....question
R....reindeer
S....sun
T....train
U....umbrella
V....violin
W....watch
X.....xylophone
Y.....yellow
Z.....zebra
He watches a lot of ABC videos where they say, "A says ant, B says, bug" that sort of thing so I'm sure some of these are memorized but when I ask him the sounds of the letters he can tell me them, so now I just need to get him to actually sit down and start practicing writing the letters. Ofeina and I ask him his letters at least once a day and sometimes he says the same thing, (you can tell he loves animals) sometimes he says different words for each letter. All in all it's pretty entertaining:)

That's awesome! Those educational videos help a ton! My Mone watches the Letter Factory viedo...it's a Leap Frog video that goes through all the letter, how they sound and how they're written.....it has been amazing and he's learned so much! Good job Mana!
Mana and Luke would go nuts together over all the alphabet stuff. Same thing with the speech delay, too! Thank goodness for educational kids shows!!
