We decided to kick off the new year with a trip to the dollar theater. We stopped at Olive Garden and ate lunch. *observation...it used to be that places like Olive Garden and Texas Road House were "special occasion" lunches/dinners. We would go to IHOP or Denny's for dinner because that was always cheaper. But now the cheaper places have raised their prices so much and our kids are getting older therefore eating more going to IHOP usually costs the same if not more than places like Olive Garden. Not that we eat out a lot as a family...maybe 2-3 times per month, but I just thought this was crazy!!
Anyways....back to the dollar theater:) we finally found one close to us and went to the Charlie Brown movie. I spent the first 1/4 of it strolling Izzy around until he fell asleep, then parked him in the aisle near Pila. Pila held onto the stroller and fell asleep. Then I slumped down in my chair and also fell asleep. We both woke up with about 2 minutes left in the movie. The kids loved it though:)
They always like to play the arcade games. Ofeina lucked out this time with the claw machine and won a very interesting looking pig:)
That night we roasted smores and toasted to a fabulous new year of 2016!!
