Ofeina had been working on her science fair project for about a week or so. It's an experiment using cornstartch and water to show the different stages of matter. It's actually pretty cool, but when she (or her brothers) make the experiment they always leave a mess....and it drives me nuts. She turned her project in and a few days later brought it home so she could take it to her school's science night so that it could be judged. Her and Ami were singing in the advanced choir at that same event, so she ran it in. It was a few hours late and the judges were done judging the rest of the projects, they had her being her project right to them, the kids sang, then we went to pick up her project and were wonderfully surprised to see she got 1st place out of the whole 7th grade. So then it would go on to the district science fair. A week or so later she got word that she won the district science fair. Now it has gone into the state science fair, she had to make a video to go with the project. I'm so proud of her and the fact that she did every single thing by herself, from finding the project to writing her "script" for the video:) good job Ofeina!!!
