Misi and Ami were both chosen to be "class representatives" in the spelling bee at their school. In true fashion Misi wanted to study his words and a few minutes before bedtime Ami asked Misi if he happened to being home a 5th grade spelling list so that he (Ami) could study. The next day when the kids came home Ami held up his first place ribbon and said "mom, I won" I replied "oh cool, Ami" and he said "no mom, I won the whole thing...first place in the whole school" (I thought he had won 1st out of all of the 5th graders) Misi had misspelled a word along the way, but was excited because he had gotten a certificate:) By winning his school spelling bee, Ami got to go to the district spelling bee. Which was at a school that was from k-8th grade. There were only 10 participants, but Ami and another boy were the only ones that weren't 8th graders. He made it through 4 rounds and then misspelled hundredth (left out a d) Ami ended up getting 3rd place and was pretty excited to get an actual medal:) and we were pretty proud of him!!

Wow!! I am a good speller when I can write it out, but ask me to spell it out loud and for some reason I can't do it! That is very impressive.
